These are the names of the 2024 Annual Vigil.

For decades, an interfaith community in the Tenderloin has come together annually around the Winter Solstice to read the names of neighbors who have died on the streets that year.

The “Spoken + Remembered” Exhibition is the collection of memorial banners from the 2024 Annual Vigil created by Skywatchers, a cross-cultural, intergenerational, mixed-ability community arts collaboration rooted in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. The banners feature nearly 300 names that call us to collectively grieve and refuse to allow them to remain unspoken in death.
