Community + Fellowship

Kids + Families

Worship is vital—no matter what age. That’s why we strive to be intergenerational in everything we do. From kids’ crafts & confirmation classes to park days & mission trips, we make sure our kids and families stay connected and build relationships.

20s+30s at St. John’s

Join us on the first Monday of every month for our 20s+30s Gathering—a time for folks to connect, hang out, and get to know one another. And of course, feel free to bring friends!

Check our Events calendar for upcoming gatherings and locations.

Contact Pastor Sam if you have any questions.

The St. John’s Musicians

Every Sunday, our singers and musicians lead our congregation as we worship together with songs old and new, traditional and modern. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome to join us for rehearsal on Sunday mornings from 8:30-9:30am before our 10am worship service.

Contact Music Director Karen Irwin for more information.

Service + Volunteering

Harvest Food Pantry

Help us feed more than 200 neighbors in our San Francisco neighborhood every Saturday at 7:30am by distributing fresh groceries to our clients.

We are a proud member of the Neighborhood Grocery Network of the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

Sanctuary Huddle

The St. John’s Sanctuary Huddle is a group committed to walking humbly alongside the immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers in our community and neighborhood.

The Huddle gathers periodically to discuss immigration rights, find ways to support immigrant families, and plan upcoming projects.

Spiritual Growth

Downtime Meditation

Every 1st & 3rd Wednesday, we open up our chapel for meditation so you can rest, reflect, and recharge. Downtime is a gathering where we work with guided & silent meditation, listen to music, hear reflective readings, and spend time unwinding in the middle of our weeks.

Theology on Tap

Every third Thursday at 7pm, we gather for drinks (soft drinks, too!) and discussion about life’s big questions. Bring your philosophical/theological thoughts, questions of faith, and we’ll see where our conversation takes us.

We meet at High Treason, just a few blocks from the church.
